Rest in Peace, Jodi Cullen

“The breezes at dawn have secrets to tell you
Don’t go back to sleep!
You must ask for what you really want
Don’t go back to sleep!
People are going back and forth
across the doorsill where the two worlds touch,
The door is round and open
Don’t go back to sleep!”

Message by Rumi; loved and lived by my late friend Jodi.

I’ll see you on the other side, sister. We’ll finally sit down and swap travel tales.

Jodi was my friend, fellow traveler, breast cancer warrior — a human being full of love and light. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in a foreign country. So was I. She helped me deal with my diagnosis abroad. Jodi was amazing, truly.

  1. I was sad to read of Jodi’s passing and am sorry for your loss. I wish I could say something wonderful that would help you but I know everyone has to grieve in their own time in their own way. Jodi was an awesome person and I’m grateful I had the chance to know her, at least a little, through her messages.
